Elevation Recruitment Group’s Skilled Shop Floor Division is proud to be working on behalf of an Aerospace business based in Sheffield.

The Role: CNC Turner

Salary: £40,439

Shifts: 3 Shift Pattern, Mornings, Afternoons & Nights

Overview: As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of CNC Lathes, ensuring components are manufactured to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC Lathes to manufacture precision components
• Read and Interpret engineering drawings
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work routines to meet production targets
• Carry out Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to maintain equipment performance
• Conduct inspections using CMM and manual measuring tools
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment

Experience & Qualifications:

• Essential:
  • CNC Turner and manual turning
  • Proficiency with measuring equipment (e.g., Verniers, Gauges, Micrometers)
  • Ability to interpret SOPs, technique sheets, drawings, and specifications
  • Relevant CNC operation qualifications or extensive industry experience
• Desirable:
  • Experience in the aerospace or a similar high-precision industry
  • Knowledge of HSE principles, SOP development, and basic Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies
