Care Assistant - Day & Night Shifts

Location: Norden, Rochdale

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Bank Holiday Pay: Time and a half

Shift Patterns: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM or 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM

About the Care Home

We are recruiting dedicated and compassionate Care Assistants to join the team at a luxury, purpose-built care home in the beautiful Norden area of Rochdale.

The home provides high-quality residential care for older people, including specialist dementia care, with a strong focus on personalised support, dignity, comfort and residents' individual needs.

With 66 beds and a positive CQC report, the home is committed to maintaining excellent standards of care in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant, your duties will include:

• Providing personal care and maintaining residents' hygiene and dignity.

• Assisting residents with oral care and daily living activities.

• Supporting safe moving and handling, including the use of hoists.

• Assisting with care plans and monitoring residents' individual needs.

• Supporting medication rounds in line with training and procedures.

• Promoting good nutrition and hydration.

• Engaging residents in meaningful and therapeutic activities.

• Maintaining cleanliness and following infection prevention and control procedures.

• Assisting with supper and evening refreshments.

• Helping residents prepare for bed and ensuring their comfort throughout the night.

• Providing compassionate support to residents living with dementia.

• Reporting changes in residents' health or wellbeing to the appropriate team members.

• Can work effectively as part of a team.

• Have good communication and observation skills.

• Are willing to follow care procedures and safeguarding guidelines.

• Have experience in elderly or dementia care, or are willing to develop their skills.
