Skilled Welder / Fabricator

£21.01 per hour including night allowance + Overtime

Permanent Night Shift | Monday-Thursday, 10pm-7:30am

We are looking for experienced Skilled Welder / Fabricators to join a growing engineering manufacturer. Due to continued expansion and increased customer demand, the business is strengthening its welding team with skilled individuals who can produce high-quality work in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out MIG/MAG and TIG welding, demonstrating proficiency in the required welding techniques.

• Fabrication and assembly of engineered products.

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

• Working to strict quality standards and procedures.

• Maintaining product traceability and completing quality documentation.

• Operating welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.

• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Working collaboratively within a production team.

Key Skills

• Time-served Welder/Fabricator, apprenticeship-trained, formally qualified or able to demonstrate equivalent industry experience.

• Previous welding and fabrication experience within a manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of welding equipment and proficiency in MIG/MAG and TIG welding techniques.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently and use initiative.

Desirable Skills

• Coded welding experience.

• Pipe welding experience.

• Experience working with stainless steel.

• Experience in precision engineering or robotic welding.

• £16.21 basic hourly rate plus £4.80 night allowance, giving a total of £21.01 per hour on nights.

• Overtime Monday to Saturday: £24.32 per hour (1.5x basic rate).

• Overtime Sundays: £32.42 per hour (double basic rate).
