Class 1 HGV Driver – Night Out Driver (Hull)

Salary: up to £45,596 (without overtime) Basic: £38,860 + £2,222 retention bonus (split quarterly) + £1,000 annual bump bonus Night Out Payment: £26.20 per night Meal Allowance: £12.00 per shift Overtime: £225 per day

Shifts: 4 on 3 off, starting from 2am

Applicants must hold a current Class 1 C+E licence. Previous Class 1 experience is preferred.

We’re looking for a reliable, safety-focused HGV Driver to join our Class 1 Night Out team. Whether you’re an experienced HGV professional or a recently qualified Class 1 Driver ready for a more active role, this is a great opportunity to build your career with a company that genuinely values its drivers. This role combines high driving standards with hands-on loading and unloading, making it more physical than many driving jobs. This role includes nights out on Saturday and Monday, delivering primarily to stores in the North West, South West, South Wales and the South M1 corridor, before returning to a local run on Sunday and Tuesday mornings. You’ll be driving one of our brand-new Scania or Volvo FM units, equipped with a fridge. Overnight parking is paid for through the SNAP network or via expenses.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Making multi-drop deliveries and assisting with unloading products and cages into stores
• Collecting stock and delivering to site
• Returning empty pallets, steel and cardboard to the distribution centre
• Completing daily vehicle checks and maintaining the working order of vehicles and equipment
• Reporting any vehicle damage or faults

What We’re Looking For

• Full and current Class 1 C+E licence
• DIGI tacho card
• Good knowledge of driving laws and regulations
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Physically able to lift and manoeuvre medium to heavy loads
