Customs Specialist - Night Shift

About the role

Our client is looking for a Customs Specialist to join their night shift team. This is a hands-on role covering Air, Ocean and Road freight, working across a varied customer base. It suits someone who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in getting entries right first time.

Two shift patterns are available, both over a 4 day week:

  • Monday to Thursday, 19:30 to 6:00am
  • Tuesday to Friday, 19:30 to 6:00am


What you'll do on a typical day

  • Complete customs entries (export, import, transit) for a range of customers.
  • Submit documentation to customs agencies.
  • Monitor holds on goods at ports of entry and resolve queries raised by customs authorities.
  • Follow customer and internal SOPs, SLAs and KPI management.
  • Complete handovers to the following shift.


What you need to succeed

Essential:

  • Customs experience, with a solid understanding of customs processes.
  • A positive attitude and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own time.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

  • The ability to pick up new systems quickly.
