Fire Marshalls

Fire Marshals - Residential Development, EAST LONDON

Pay Rate: £12.75-£13.85 per hour + holiday pay

We are currently recruiting Fire Marshals to work at a large, busy residential development in East London.

This is an active, patrolling role, so applicants must be physically fit, vigilant, and comfortable patrolling a large site regularly throughout their shift.

We welcome applications from candidates who hold a valid, in-date Fire Marshal certificate, as well as SIA-licensed Security Guards who are willing to undertake Fire Marshal training.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor fire alarm systems and CCTV, and operate fire detection and emergency equipment.
• Carry out regular patrols of all areas of the building.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents and emergencies.
• Carry out other reasonable security duties as required.
• Ensure fire exits, stairwells, corridors, and escape routes remain clear of obstructions and hazardous materials.
• Assist with and manage safe, efficient evacuations in an emergency.
• Identify and report potential fire hazards and assess fire risks.
• Maintain a safe environment for residents, visitors, and contractors.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• A vigilant, level-headed, and customer-focused approach.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A valid, in-date Fire Marshal certificate, or an SIA Security Guard licence with a willingness to train.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to patrol a large site regularly.
• A minimum of two years of verifiable references.
• A strong commitment to fire safety and site security.
