We are currently recruiting Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a leading logistics operation based in Stanford-le-Hope. This is an ongoing opportunity offering competitive pay rates, regular hours, overtime opportunities, and the potential for permanent employment.
Pay Rates
- £19.54 per hour
- £24.43 per hour overtime rate (after 48 hours worked per week)
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Nights: Sunday to Thursday
- 4 on, 4 off shift pattern also available
Start Times
Day Shifts
- Start times between 02:00 and 07:00
- Earlier starts may be required to meet delivery schedules, including deliveries into Southampton from 05:00
- Start times between 16:00 and 21:00
The Role
You will be completing RDC pallet deliveries across the South East, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing RDC pallet deliveries across the South East region
- Conducting vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with transport legislation
- Maintaining accurate delivery documentation
- Providing a professional service at all times
- Adhering to driving hours and working time regulations
Assessment & Induction
Before starting, all successful candidates must complete:
- Drug and alcohol screening
- Theory assessment
- Practical driving assessment
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum of 6 penalty points
- No DR10, CD10, or IN10 endorsements
- Positive, reliable, and professional attitude
- Strong understanding of driver compliance and road safety
