Class 1 HGV Yard Shunter / Driver


Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our logistics team. This night-shift role focuses primarily on yard shunting and local movements between designated regional facilities.


Location: Hounslow
Shift: Night shift, Sunday to Thursday.
Pay Rate: £21.34 per hour.


Key Responsibilities

  • Primary Duty: Execute efficient shunting operations within the local yard environment.
  • Route Shunting: Transport trailers locally between regional hub locations.
  • Occasional Distance Driving: Undertake scheduled runs to a secondary location on an occasional basis.
  • Vehicle Compliance: Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure trailer safety before moving.


Requirements
Licence: Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence & CPC
Experience: Decent, proven years of driving experience operating Class 1 vehicles.
Licence Status: Clean licence preferred; ideally no points.
Key Skills: High reliability, strong time management, and a focus on yard safety.
