Job Title: Freight & Logistics Operations Executive

Location: Luton

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (19:00 – 07:00)

Salary: £35,000 – £38,000

A well-established UK logistics and freight organisation is seeking a Freight & Logistics Operations Executive to join its night operations team. The business provides around-the-clock domestic and international transport solutions across air, road, and sea freight.

This role is based within a fast-moving control centre environment, supporting time-critical shipments and ensuring smooth coordination of import and export operations across multiple regions.

Key Duties

• Coordinate import and export shipments across all transport methods
• Ensure customs compliance and accurate completion of shipping documentation
• Support time-sensitive and aviation-related freight processes
• Communicate with customers and partners to provide shipment updates
• Manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively during shift
• Monitor shared inboxes and respond professionally and promptly

Candidate Requirements

• 1–2 years’ experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations
• Knowledge of import/export processes and documentation
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a night shift environment
• Flexible, adaptable approach to changing workloads
• Full UK driving licence (minor points considered)
• 5-year checkable work history with minimal gaps
• Eligible to work in the UK
