Warehouse Operative – Fresh Produce

Location: TN15, Kent

Shift Pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off

Working Hours:2:00pm – 2:00am

Salary: Starting at £28,000 per annum

Status:Urgently Hiring

This site has no access to public transport. A full UK driving licence and own transport is essential.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS – ALL MUST BE MET

This role also has strict entry requirements. Only candidates who meet ALL essential criteria below will be considered.

Proven experience working in a fresh produce environment 

Current or recently expired ride-on pallet truck licence

Full UK driving licence and own transport(no public transport access)

Good numeracy skills

Good physical fitness

Basic understanding of computer operations (Windows)

Willingness to learn to drive counterbalance forklifts

Key Responsibilities

  • Picking, receiving and building loads in a fresh produce environment
  • Scan picking, receiving and load building
  • Completing administrative tasks, stock checks and documentation
  • Using Windows-based systems and warehouse software
  • Maintaining accuracy in stock control and load building
  • Working efficiently while complying with health & safety standards

Highly Desirable (Advantageous)

  • Counterbalance forklift experience or a valid licence
  • Use of Prophet software for picking, receiving or load building
  • Experience using livestock management systems
  • Background in chilled or fresh produce warehouses

Salary & Benefits

  • Starting salary of £28,000 per annum
  • Salary uplift upon successful completion of probation
  • Additional one month’s salary bonus
