Our client is currently looking for a Children's Support Worker able to work in the Ilford area. This role provides immense job satisfaction within a busy and varied environment, working with a range of professionals and directly creating positive outcomes for the young people you’ll support.

Salary: £14.00 – £15.00 per hour (paid monthly)

Working Hours:

  • Full Time, shift based role on a rolling rota (Monday – Sunday)
  • Day shifts: 8:00am – 8:30pm
  • Waking Night shifts: 8:00pm – 8:30am

Essential:

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children or young people in any care, support, or education setting
  • Ability to advocate for young people and promote their wellbeing
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to safeguarding practices

Desirable:

  • Residential childcare experience – a major advantage for this role
  • Level 3 Qualification in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • High level of integrity and emotional resilience

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting children and young people in their daily routines
  • Creating a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment
  • Building positive, trusting relationships as a key worker
  • Encouraging education, independence, and positive behaviour
  • Working alongside Social Workers, families, and other professionals
  • Contributing to care plans and independence goals
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised home
  • Completing accurate records and essential administrative tasks
  • Making informed decisions to support young people during shifts
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver consistent, high quality care
