Warehouse Operative

WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE – BELLSHILL

People Solutions are currently recruiting for experienced Warehouse Operatives to join our client’s busy chilled storage facility based in Bellshill, North Lanarkshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent pay rates, long-term ongoing work and consistent night shifts with a well-established logistics business.

We are looking for experienced, physically fit candidates who are comfortable working in a chilled warehouse environment and can commit to regular night shifts.

This position would suit applicants who have previously worked as a Picker Packer, Order Picker, Warehouse Operative or Warehouse Assistant.

Shifts:

• Sunday to Friday
• Approximately 23:00 – 07:00
• Saturdays off plus one other day off during the week
• Ongoing night shift work

Pay rate:

• £13.86 – £15.75 per hour
• Weekly pay

Day-to-Day Duties:

• Loading and unloading lorries safely and efficiently
• Moving stock and pallets around the warehouse
• Working within a chilled warehouse environment
• Handling, checking and recording goods accurately
• General warehouse duties
• Manual handling
• Moving stock throughout the warehouse
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workspace
• Following all Health and Safety procedures
• Working as part of a busy warehouse team
• Committing to consistent night shifts

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Previous warehouse experience
• Previous manual handling experience
• Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work throughout the shift
• Comfortable working in chilled conditions
• Reliable and punctual
• Good attention to detail
• Able to work well as part of a team
• Able to follow instructions and Health and Safety procedures
• Able to commit to regular night shifts
• Comfortable with repetitive physical tasks
• Able to work approximately 23:00 – 07:00 Sunday to Friday

Desirable Experience:

• Previous experience working in cold storage or chilled warehouse environments
• Previous loading and unloading experience
• Experience moving high volumes of stock or pallets
• Previous experience within a busy logistics or distribution environment

Training:

• On-the-job training to build role knowledge
• Full Health and Safety and compliance training
• Ongoing support from People Solutions
