HGV Class 2 Driver – Widnes – £19.79 Per Hour – Night Shift

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Widnes, Cheshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £19.79 per hour, Sunday-to-Thursday working, weekly pay and long-term ongoing work with a leading logistics provider.

£19.79 Per Hour | Sunday to Thursday | 18:00–19:00 Starts | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Work

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Rigid HGV Driver or Multi-Drop Delivery Driver.

Shifts

• Sunday to Thursday
• Start times between 18:00 and 19:00
• Evening and night working

Rates of Pay

• £19.79 per hour
• Weekly pay

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:

• Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing between 5 and 12 product deliveries to stores across the UK each day
• Maintaining loads at the correct temperatures throughout transit
• Ensuring all goods remain safe and secure during transportation
• Unloading cages using a tail lift and delivering products into stores
• Completing all required delivery paperwork accurately

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 24 months' Category C driving experience
• Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No major endorsements, including DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99
• Strong customer service skills

Desirable Experience

• Previous multi-drop store delivery experience
• Experience within a retail distribution environment
• Experience operating tail lifts
• Experience completing temperature-controlled deliveries

Training Provided

• First-day driving assessment
• Training provided where required
• Ongoing industry-related training and support throughout your assignment
